SOLDIERS [Angeal/Zack]

Angeal nodded slightly at the final of Zack’s questions. The larger man wasn’t one for parties, usually sticking to training or missions with his free time taken up by more training, or trips into the country. The older SOLDIER had a deep appreciation for nature, gained by his growing up in Banora. “As for the… suit, I’d probably have to be really drunk to wear that out in public. Dear goddess, what if that fan club, what were they called, The Keepers of Honor? Goddess just what would they start saying.” Angeal brought his hand up to his face and pinched the bridge of his nose. Or attempted to, the black haired man had forgotten he had glasses on and only managed to push them into his face, giving out a small surprised yelp, not something he usually did.

The younger brunet winced and reached up to try and rub his forehead, “Are you stressed or something? It’s just a party mate…” he said, bro punching is shoulder to try and get him to relax. Zack laughed then, as the image his friend painted next and waited for the doors to open and he took Angeal’s hand and pulled him inside, “You know it might drive them crazy, but I for one, would like to see you at least once in that suit!” he grinned, tugging him down to an empty pair of seats and planted himself next to the window, waiting on Angeal.

Angeal sighed as he dropped himself in the seat besides Zack. “I don’t know, I guess I’m just a little nervous which is throwing me off.” He managed to put on a smile as the train began moving once more and leaved the station. He wasn’t quite sure what was making him so nervous but it was certainly something that wasn’t leaving him alone. The dark haired man chuckled however as Zack proclaimed his interest in the super hero outfit. “Maybe one day, when I’m feeling particularly generous I’ll wear it for you”. The rumble of the train underneath the pair of SOLDIERS seemed to help sooth the older man’s frazzled nerves and the two set off towards the party, chatting along the way, Angeal sharing his plans for some of the new recruits with the spiky haired youth.

Zack could not keep the smile from his lips when he noticed the older man’s slight discomfort. Or was it nerves? Whatever it was, it made him endearing, like a big mutt who didn’t know what to think. When he heard he was nervous, Zack smiled and rose from his seat and sat next to the man, throwing an arm around his broad shoulders, “Nothing to be nervous about mate. I’ll be with ya the whole time and it’s just food, drinks, and bumming around with some of the guys, and it’s not like you don’t know them, hmmm?” he said with a elbow bump, and when the super hero suit was mentioned again, he chuckled and arched a brow, “Now that’s something I’d like to see just once…” he said, chatting with the man over his plans and mostly enjoying his company.

The train ride took nearly 15 minutes to get there and when it stopped, Zack got up and waited for Angeal to follow. They had at least a few blocks to walk, and then it was time for food, drinks, and partying. Zack put his cat ears on and clipped the long fluffy tail into the back of pants and handed the bag over to Angeal, “Wanna put yours on?” he grinned.

Cloud slid into a seat and blinked a bit before nodding, “You’re… welcome.” He opened up the menu and glanced through it absently.

Zack smiled then quietly picked up his menu and scanned it. He did however, kept looking back and forth between the words and Cloud, as if he were thinking about something, but didn’t want to speak of it.

Cloud noticed, even though he didn’t look up from the menu, “Something wrong?” The blond finally closed his menu and gave his full attention to Zack.

Startled, Zack jumped a little and came back down to earth, or at least his mind did, “Ah what? Oh…it’s nothing, just that it is odd. I have an odd feeling, just things are different. I guess it’s still because I have been gone for a while huh? And there’s not SOLDIER or ShinRa…maybe the Turks are around…but, I guess I have a lot to think about…” he stated quietly.

“The Turks are around… and Rufus ShinRa is still around, but not as powerful as he used to be.” Supposedly. Cloud wasn’t entirely sure he believed that, but at least the WRO was keeping an eye on him, “It’s a lot to take in.”

“It is a lot to take in…” he said quietly, realizing that he was rehashing the same thing they’d talked about earlier and he didn’t want to keep brining up the same old thing. Zack nodded once, gave the blonde a smile and looked at his menu again, “But it will all turn fine, I’ve got you again now…but let’s not dwell on everything again and eat and get your job done right?” Zack muttered, grinning in spite of himself and nudging Cloud’s foot from beneath the table.

Lonely.

OOC: Sorry….

My apologies for not being around…wedding stuff is just keeping me busy. I do want to get to my replies, so if I owe your missed you, please let me know!

Angeal chuckled a little as the younger SOLDIER showed him the contents of the bag. Perhaps he would look a little more like a puppy, and Angeal was sure that he’d enjoy all the attention. The older man lifted his hand up and ruffled Zack’s spiky black hair. “Go for it, I’m sure someone there will enjoy the get up. I almost brought that super hero outfit, but perhaps that wouldn’t have bee the best thing to wear.” Sounds barreled down the track as the train began its approach towards the station and the two SOLDIERS turned as it stormed into the station and came to a screeching halt. “Well I suppose that’s our train, want to lead on Zack the puppy?”

Zack flushed at the head ruffle and laughed lightly, “Oh I plan on it and I have a pair for you if you want it?” he suggested, wiggling the bag a little bit and grinning. He waggled his eyebrows at him then lowered the bag and gasped, “Oh really? I’ve wanted to see you in that get up for a while, why didn’t you wear it?” he asked, literally bouncing off the wall on the idea of seeing him in a slick skin suit. “It really wouldn’t have been a bad idea at all..” Zack’s ears were perked at the nickname again, one he found he liked very much. “Yeah I suppose it is. You nervous?”

SOLDIERS [Angeal/Zack]

Zack blushed and grinned, “Oh hush…you know everyone’s just gonna be looking at you because you actually came..” he said, giving a relieved sigh when he got there on time. He hoped Angeal hadn’t been waiting long and he could already hear the sounds of the train coming. Zack licked his lips and ran his fingers through his hair, also hoping that the man didn’t notice he was staring, though he knew he mostly likely wouldn’t. He never saw him out with anyone or heard about him dating anyone. Sooo…?

When the question came up about his bag though, his eyes brightened and his ears perked, “Oh it’s some ears and a tail. Was thinking about wearing them…but I dunno…” he said, swinging the bag a moment then opened the handles to show Angeal. There was a long black wolf like tail and a pair of fluffy furry ears. “You think it would make me look too much like a pup?”

Angeal chuckled a little as the younger SOLDIER showed him the contents of the bag. Perhaps he would look a little more like a puppy, and Angeal was sure that he’d enjoy all the attention. HeadCanon fact #3

Cloud, Oh, Cloud

The blonde, the adorable blonde almost SOLDIER. Now Zack has seen it all. Cloud Strife is definitely one man he won’t soon forget and one he adores above all others. Their spirits were twined at one time and their strength shared. He loves the little feathery haired boy.

To him, Cloud is an endearing friend who all though has his faults, would never leave a man behind, least of all Zack. They’ve had trouble understanding one another at times, but even when Cloud is quiet, Zack enjoys being with him, because somehow or not, he would make him smile, and if he were lucky, he’d make him laugh too.

But if there is a chance to see Cloud smile, he would do any and every time.
